J Reinan to Participate For Second Consecutive Year in Hemmings Motor News Great Race
J Reinan decided after finishing last year’s great race that he would do it again in 2014.
The Great Race was first inaugurated in 1983 with the idea of racing pre-World War II automobiles across the United States for a large purse. After a successful first event, the Great Race has continued to be a widely celebrated annual event among car nuts and packs of fans who line up along the route – which varies from year to year – to cheer them along.
This year’s Great Race begins on June 21, 2014 in Ogunquit, ME, and will continue on to the following cities: Rochester, NH; Lowell, MA; Bennington, VT; Poughkeepsie, NY; East Stroudsburg, PA; Valley Forge, PA; Millsboro, DE; Portsmouth, VA; Elizabeth City, NC; New Bern, NC; Clinton, NC; Wilmington, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Mount Pleasant, SC; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Ocala, FL; ending in The Villages, FL.
J will be driving a 1932 Auburn Special, and will be accompanied by family and friends. His car and team are sponsoring the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as they did last year.
