Reinan Law & The Great Race
Every year, Reinan Law firm proudly sponsors a vintage race car in The Great Race, a cross-country rally that takes place during the last two weeks of June. This year, the race goes from Saturday, June 24th to Sunday, July 2nd. This year is our 10th year participating in the event, and every year has gotten more and more enjoyable.
In addition to this year marking a decade of our involvement, the 2023 Great Race is made even more exciting by the fact that our very own J.M. Reinan and his car are featured on the race poster! Last year our car – a 1918 American LaFrance Speedster* – was one of those featured on an hour-long Great Race special, so it’s great to be getting more and more involved with the event.
In addition to practicing law and advocating for consumer rights, old and “oddball” cars are one of our founder’s passions, and we wanted to share a little bit of that passion with you. Read on to learn more about this year’s Great Race!
The 2023 Great Race
The Great Race has a different route every year. This year, the rally will take drivers from St. Augustine, Florida, to Colorado Springs, Colorado, a journey that’s around 2,500 miles and will go through Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas in addition to Florida and Colorado. Each day includes stops for lunch and overnight rest stops, and drivers go from city to city and state to state with the goal of arriving at each destination at a precise time. In addition to the wide variety of cars, which will range from absurd-looking vehicles from the vintage era to the most popular muscle cars of the 60s, participants will also get to see a lot of different places, landscapes, and things along the way.
The Great Race is a truly one-of-a-kind event and has been going on since 1983, and we are looking forward to another decade of sponsoring and participating in it.
